Minimum Floor Levels
In New Zealand, if you will be building/rebuilding or adding onto a property, ensure the Plans comply with minimum Floor Levels required by either the Building Consent (Building Act), or your local Council. This could save you wasting thousands of dollars on non-compliant building/architectural Plans!
Many Canterbury communities were built on low-lying river flood plains, including Christchurch. It has always had areas prone to flooding, and the Christchurch City Council sets minimum Floor Levels in these areas. Learn more about minimum Floor Levels: Christchurch City Council website.
Lifting, Levelling & Foundations
House Lifters designs engineered solutions for even the most complex Lifting, Levelling and Foundation work. Our custom-designed, ingenious Mechanical Jacking systems are recognised internationally for pin-point accuracy. They’re also much faster to use - extremely important if flooding is imminent.

Ground Improvement
House Lifters can undertake geotechnical land remediation - e.g. Gravel Rafts to stiffen and strengthen upper soil layers. Our groundworks services include retaining walls, new Foundations and Slabs, demolition.
